Undergraduate Education

Department of Fine Arts Education was established in 2004, and started education in the same year by admitting 40 students to the Art Teaching Program. The number of students in our department, which includes 9 academic staff, is approximately 100 in 2024.

Night teaching, Master's and Doctoral programs do not exist as of now.

In our department, we try to provide education to our students at a level that will compete with other universities nationally and internationally, by using all the opportunities of modern education.

The purpose of the Art Teaching Program is;

To train Art Educators (Art Teachers) who will teach Painting (Visual Arts) courses in the Ministry of National Education or private primary schools and high schools, and in case of lack of staff, Technology Design and Art History courses, in line with Atatürk's views on Fine Arts. Apart from the aim of training teachers, it is also among our aims to produce artists who produce products in different branches of plastic arts among our students.

Our department was accredited by EPDAD for 2 years on 16.04.2022 and became one of the 4 accredited Art Teaching programs in Turkey as of 2022.
